About us

We build table ordering for independent kitchens.

Taap.wtf is a small product team obsessed with the ten minutes between a guest sitting down and their first order reaching the kitchen.

Our people

Owners, chefs, servers and engineers — most of us have worked a shift, and all of us have waited too long for a bill.

01

Why we started

Taap.wtf began in a small café where the paper menus were three years old, the prices were crossed out in pen, and one server was taking every order for eighteen tables.

The tools that fix this exist — but they are usually sold to chains, priced per order, and take a cut of every bill. We wanted the opposite: one flat, honest price and full control of your own menu.

02

What we believe

Guests should never have to download an app to order a coffee. A scan is enough.

Your menu, your photos, your prices and your guest data belong to you. We do not sell food, we do not run a marketplace, and we do not compete with you for the order.

03

How we build

Every feature starts on a real service floor. If it does not survive a Friday night rush, it does not ship.

We keep the owner screens dense and fast, and the guest screens calm and simple. Speed is a design decision, not an optimisation we do later.
